Unveil the Canvas: An Intuitive Painting Journey with Anita Wood

Unleash your creativity in our NEW Mixed Media Workshop: Intuitive Painting! This workshop invites you to embrace the unknown, letting your heart and playful spirit guide your brush. We’ll kick off with a fun, warm-up exercise to set the mood before diving into the magic of intuitive painting. Bring along some collage materials you love, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try your hand at Image Transfer using a LASER copy of a photo you cherish.

Throughout the day, we’ll experiment with paint, textures, and unique materials like stretchable medical gauze (a rare find!). You’ll layer, lift, and rework your piece until it reflects your vision. Whether you choose to transfer an image, collage, or simply play with color, the process is all about exploration. With a focus on composition, balance, and harmony, you’ll leave with a piece that’s truly your own. Join us for a day of happy accidents, messy moments, and artistic breakthroughs!

Saturday March 29th; 9-4 pm; No EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Regular Price: $285 plus hst;
Prepared canvas and acrylic paint & mediums are supplied (but please feel free to bring your favourite brushes & paints; You may enjoy adding these to your painting). Additional materials such as collage materials will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own.**

Bring a LASER copy of a photo you would like to have in your painting. Make a few different sizes so you have a choice.  Black and white works best. The ink jet prints do not work, it needs the toner of the laser printer or copier.  The best choice is Staples in the self copy section.
