There was a conservation area behind my house where I used to go walking. Many different birds and critters would always cross my path. I would take pictures and do sketches while in the woods. Then I would disappear into my studio to paint.
I have decided to use my love of nature to create paintings of birds and animals in unspoilt places. I want to paint the birds and animals that I have seen during my escapes from my home life. These were happy memories from a very dark time in my life.
Wrens were always cirping and darting around while I was out hiking in the marshy areas. They always made me smile. This painting is 8×8″ painted on 250lb Watercolour paper, mounted on white pine gallery style cradle board, then varnished and sealed with cold wax for protection. There is no need to frame these art works, they are ready to hang on your wall.
